Apple in the Enterprise: Verizon iPhone Hits It Big, iPads Still Soaring

The latest quarterly data from enterprise device management vendor Good Technology finds that the Verizon iPhone is popular in the enterprise, and that iPads are still huge. The Verizon iPhone has the highest activation rate of for any new device since Good started publishing its tracking data.

Although Good expects Android devices to eventually overtake iOS devices in activations, iOS is clearly dominating at the moment. Here are the top ten devices activated in Q1 2011:

The iPad is doing far better than the Android in Good's data:

Tablets in the enterprise Q1 2011

This data only reflects new activiations during Q1. Good doesn't support BlackBerrys, which is why those devices don't register at all. It doesn't support Windows Phone 7 either.

However, Good is one of the largest third party device management vendors, with 20 of the Fortune 100 as customers along with government agencies such as DARPA. So the data the company releases provides insight into enterprise in general.
