With over 1 million views so far, this YouTube video posted by seflic became a viral video hit over the weekend.
Fitting for the Memorial Day holiday, the video shows thousands of people from Grand Rapids, MI taking to the streets to lip-sing the Don McLean classic "American Pie."
According to the user page, the video was filmed on May 22nd with 5,000 people, shutting down downtown Grand Rapids, and was originally created as a response to a Newsweek article that named Grand Rapids a "dying city."
Newsweek took to Facebook to make clear that the list was not actual content generated by their editorial team.
In any case, it's a fun way to spend 9 minutes.
